About

Heart Screens for Teens is an organization offering a unique program that travels to your school or community and provides a high quality medical screening to detect potentially fatal heart conditions that can not be identified during physicals.

The screenings HSFT provides help identify Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) or an Enlarged Heart. HCM is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in teenagers. Unbelievably, HCM is 100% detectable. Heart Screens for Teens is dedicated to preventing death from HCM.

The ultrasound exam is simple, safe and requires no preparation. Using high frequency sound waves we photograph and examine various images and views of the heart. The confidential results are then reviewed by a cardiologist and given to parents. The entire exam takes only 10-15 minutes.

The organization was founded by Mickey King and Matt Molchan. With years of mobile ultrasound expertise from their core business at Ultrascan, Matt and Mickey decided to use their resources to offer these potentially life saving screenings at a deep discount.
